ProjectALEE – Adaptive digital Learning in Economics Education

Basic data

Acronym:
ALEE
Title:
Adaptive digital Learning in Economics Education
Duration:
01/03/2021 to 31/07/2024
Abstract / short description:
The project serves to research the fundamentals for the development of an adaptive, AI-based learning platform in economic education. Three research strands are brought together in an interdisciplinary collaboration. The experts in the field of economic education (Dirk Loerwald, Michael Koch; IÖB, U. Oldenburg) review and develop internally differentiated material for the adaptive AI-based system. The computational linguists (Detmar Meurers, U. Tübingen) analyze and process the linguistic complexity of the learning material and work on the automated processing of semi-open tasks. The machine learning researchers (Ulf Brefeld, U. Lüneburg) are researching suitable representations for the learner model and are programming a first prototype of the adaptive AI-based learning platform. The project collaboration is funded by the Joachim Herz Foundation.
