Title:
Sickerwasserprognose für bewertungsrelevante PFC - Anwendung und Weiterentwicklung von Bewertungsmethoden für den Quell- und Transportterm und Handlungsanweisungen für die Praxis
Duration:
01/12/2018 to 30/11/2021
Abstract / short description:
Perfluorinated organic compounds or alkylated substances (PFC/PFAS) represent a relatively new class of pollutants which may enter agricultural soils (mostly with compost) and which meanwhile also occur in groundwater. Aim of the project is the quantification of their leaching from contaminated top soils and to investigate their transport behavior in the unsaturated and saturated soil zone. Soil samples from a recent case of diffuse pollution in Baden-Württemberg will be collected and investigated. The results will be used to test and optimize lab tests (e.g. column tests after DIN 19528) and methods for groundwater risk assessment for these compounds.
