Production of Biodiesel, Glycerol Derivatives and Biolubricants

This research project deals with the synthesis of various glycerin derivatives and with the transesterification of various vegetable and animal fats for biodiesel production. Furthermore, the production of the glycerol derivatives with the aforementioned biodiesel synthesis is examined in a single integrated process. The second objective of the project is to find ways of using waste oils (eg residual oil) or oils from non-edible plants for the biodiesel process and to use these for the development of biosciences.
