Title:
Impact of acute hemodynamic effects on myocardial remodelling and mid-term durability after transcatheter edge-to-edge repair of mitral regurgitation using PASCAL®
Duration:
16/07/2019 to 31/12/2022
Abstract / short description:
Reduction of MR using one/several PASCAL device(s) leads to hemodynamic changes (decreased atrial and ventricular loading volumes and pressures as well as systolic pulmonary artery pressure) which result in reversed cardiac remodelling: reduced left ventricular dilatation, improved left and right ventricular function with concomitant improvement of pulmonary hypertension and a reduction of mitral regurgitation over time (i.e. 6 to 12 months).
This project aims to investigate the periprocedural haemodynamic changes and their impact on myocardial remodelling and the durability of the device 6 months after a mitral valve TEER using a PASCAL system.
