Basic data
Title:
Border Regimes in the Age of Technoscience
Duration:
01/03/2022 to 31/03/2023
Abstract / short description:
The conference combines the perspectives of law, computer science, science and technology studies, social sciences, and ethics and addresses current debates about and processes towards increasingly technology-driven border regimes. In doing so, the conference aims not only at interdisciplinary collaboration, but also at an international perspective. In its pursuit of an international perspective, the conference is set up to identify recurring patterns and practices while at the same time considering and analyzing the extent to which different situational, that is, varying geopolitical and socio-historical contexts, play a role in the development and creation of the specific designs, policies, and formations of various borders6.
