Basic data
Title:
Names, Persons and Groups of Persons of the Middle Ages (NPPM)
Duration:
01/12/2021 to 30/11/2024
Abstract / short description:
The project aims to merge, optimize and consolidate two existing, closely related e-research technologies - the "Database of Medieval Personal Names" (DMP) and the database of the project "Nomen et Gens" (NeG) - for medievalist research and to make them freely accessible to the specialist public. Both databases are well established in historical and linguistic medieval studies as tools for researching information about persons and personal names. The project aims to make the new database available as a digital information infrastructure to interdisciplinary medievalist research (especially in History, German studies, Romance studies) in the long term.
