Title:
Plasma NfL, NT1 tau and pTau181 the prediction of POCD in elderly people who undergo cardiac surgery
Duration:
01/05/2021 to 01/06/2021
Abstract / short description:
This biomarker project aims to aid stratification of individual risk profiles for development of postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) in elderly people who undergo cardiac surgery using the most promising ultra-sensitive blood-based assays for both AD-specific tau fragments (NT1 tau and tau phosphorylated at threonine-181) and an axonal destruction marker (Neurofilament Light Chain, NfL).
