PILGRIM is a prospective, multicentre cohort study with the main objective of determining the impact of inadequate antibiotic therapy compared to adequate or no antibiotic therapy on the domination of the intestinal microbiome by ESBL-producing Enterobacteriacea (EPE), vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) or C. difficile infection.
