Duration:
11/02/2021 to 10/02/2024
Abstract / short description:
In international research as well as through practical experience with people with dementia, there are first indications of an effective use of aroma care/massages for behavioral and psychological accompanying symptoms (BPSD) of dementia. In the context of the project, it is to be investigated to what extent aroma massages can have a positive effect on agitated behavior, i.e. reduce symptoms such as fear and agitation (benefit evaluation) and can be used in the everyday care of people with dementia in the nursing home setting (feasibility evaluation).
