Basic data

Acronym:
DAAD-PAGEL
Title:
Erregerdiagnostik in Vietnam
Duration:
01/01/2019 to 31/12/2022
Abstract / short description:
The aim of this project is the sustainable education of Vietnamese doctors, scientists and students in all aspects of modern and contemporary parasito-logical diagnostics. As described, parasitological diagnostics are poorly present in large hospitals in Vietnam and are based on rudimentary microscopic diagnosis and the use of rapid tests (RDTs), which, however, are only available for a few infectious diseases. The focus of the collaboration will be on strengthening infrastructural, institutional and personal capacities by establishing state-of-the-art and contemporary diagnostic systems. The application of modern systems requires appropriate training, which is taken into account by the planned courses. A South- South (Africa- Asia) exchange cooperation, with North- South (Germany- Asia) coordination foreseen.
