Title:
Erschließung mittelalterlicher Musik-Fragmente aus württembergischen Klöstern in der Württembergischen Landesbibliothek Stuttgart und im Staatsarchiv Ludwigsburg
Duration:
01/04/2020 to 31/03/2022
Abstract / short description:
As a follow up-project to FRAG (2017-2020) this project aims at the research of until now unknown medieval music fragments from monasteries of Württemberg in the holdings of the Württembergische Landesbibliothek Stuttgart and the Staatsarchiv Ludwigsburg. About ca. 700 fragments in situ will be made available through in depth research, cataloging and digitalization. Open acces will be provided via the database "Fragmentrarium". A printed catalogue will present the catalogue entries as well as photographs of selected fragments of both projects. The project time is set to 24 months. The project will provide new insights into the until today only partly known or totally unknown musical medieval culture of monasteries in Württemberg prior to the destroying of many mansucripts during the implementation of the reformation 1537 in Württemberg.
