Abstract / short description:
Syngas fermentation at thermophilic fermentation temperatures of around 65 degrees Celcius could be advantageous compared to mesophilic temperatures of around 35 degrees Celcius. However, a thermophilic fermentation platform does not exists for the conversion of synthesis gas into fuels and chemicals. This project develops microbial strains and biotechnology to change this.
