Duration:
01/07/2019 to 30/06/2021
Abstract / short description:
The project Transatlantic Collaboration between the LAPPS Grid and CLARIN: Semantic, Technical and Infrastructural Interoperability of Services is a collaborative effort between CLARIN (in particular, LINDAT/CLARIN and WebLicht/Tübingen) and the LAPPS Grid. The project intends to make the language technology and a digital humanities services we currently provide, as well as future services we will develop, transparently interoperable and mutually accessible from our respective infrastructures. The current project seeks to build on the planning grant to support the following: (1) implementation of the identified strategy for cross-platform Authentication and Authorization Infrastructure (AAI); (2) extension and expansion of the interoperability prototype for the LAPPS Grid and CLARIN to cover all existing resources and incorporate new ones; and (3) demonstration of the use of a suite of tools accessible from both platforms to create rich metadata sets for text archives.
