Abstract / short description:
Using both federal and state funds, the university is procuring extensive computing capacity for use in basic and application-oriented research in machine learning (ML) at the Department of Computer Science. In recent years, the University of Tübingen has drastically strengthened its profile in the field of machine learning through strategic investments, appointments and employment, thereby assuming a leading role among German universities in this field. In order to realise synergetic efficiency gains, the new research groups have jointly created and managed significant computing capacities. This will enable the participating groups to remain competitive in an international context.
