Acronym:
PREDICT
Title:
BLOOMY-PREDICT - Bloodstream infections due to multidrug-resistant organisms
Duration:
01/01/2019 to 31/12/2020
Abstract / short description:
The goal of the PREDICT study is to validate a prediction rule for the identification of patients with bloodstream infections (BSI) at higher risk of mortality and of short- and long-term severe sequelae. The study is a prospective longitudinal cohort study running at 5 centers. The derivation model is currently developed within the BLOOMY.COM project. The clinical score will be developed within the BLOOMY.COM-PREDICT project by assigning weighted point values to independent risk factors associated with mortality detected at BSI diagnosis and at hospital discharge. Primary outcome measures include the validation of the BLOOMY.COM score at BSI diagnosis to define high risk population for short-term mortality and to validate the score at hospital discharge to identify high risk population for long-term mortality and sequelae.
