Title:
The influence of the skin microbiome on S. aureus colonization
Duration:
01/01/2019 to 30/06/2019
Abstract / short description:
We will investigate the role of different types of immune cells in S. aureus skin colonization and how skin commensals can modulate the recruitment of immune cells to the skin using an in vitro co-culture model with primary human keratinocytes and PBMCs or neutrophils as well as by using an in vivo epicutaneous mouse skin infection model.
