Title:
New Measures for Engaging with Medical Ethics: Exploring participative approaches for an extended discourse on human germline editing
Duration:
01/01/2019 to 30/06/2020
Abstract / short description:
"New Memes" explores new participatory actions to involve a wider audience in ethical deliberation related to moral aspects of new genome editing technologies. The project has two interrelated objectives: not only to convey knowledge about bio-medical ethics to a wider audience, but beyond that to facilitate an open and mutually enriching debate on the moral boundaries of germline modification. We will use the Museum für Naturkunde (Museum of Natural Science) in Berlin as the hub for this endeavor.
