To date, no potent therapeutic aid is available to prevent or cure blindness. Hence, the proposed study, HybrAid, aims to evolve a novel proof of concept for enhanced vision-aid for blind people, synergising the best of two worlds: The potential of neuroprotective drugs and the efficacy of high-conductive electrodes for electrical stimulation.
