ProjectTRR 240/TP Z04: Multiparametrische in-vivo-Bildgebung

Basic data

Title:
TRR 240/TP Z04: Multiparametrische in-vivo-Bildgebung
Duration:
01/07/2018 to 30/06/2022
Abstract / short description:
Non-invasive multiparametric small animal imaging enables the investigation of molecular and functional processes and reveals detailed morphology in vivo. Technologies provided by this core unit includes measurements of platelet tracking, glucose metabolism, fatty acid metabolism, cell proliferation, hypoxia or angiogenesis by positron emission tomography (PET) or optical bioluminescence and fluorescence imaging (optical imaging - OI). We will use a variety of radiolabeled biomarkers (small molecules, peptides and antibodies) which are either well established in our radiopharmacy laboratory or will be developed in frame of this consortium. High-resolution morphology and functional changes (perfusion, diffusion, etc.) will be assessed by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In addition we will also provide high-resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy where appropriate and needed to quantify metabolic profiles related to platelet processes. A total of eight sub-projects of this SFB will benefit from our small animal imaging center.
