Partizipative Intervention zur Verbesserung des psychischen Befindens von Arztpraxisteams: Ein Modell für Verhältnis- und Verhaltensprävention in KMU - Teilvorhaben Arbeitsbedingungen, Arbeitsschutz, Führung und Kommunikation in Hausarztpraxen und Transferoptionen in KMU

Higher psychological strain is reported by personnel in the health care system, including primary care practices, compared to other economic sectors. Four modifiable, setting-specific factors are considered relevant: leadership, work processes, communication, and health promotion. Using primary care practices as a model, this so called `IMPROVEJob study´ aims to develop a multimodal, participatory intervention for the prevention of psychological distress, to evaluate its effectiveness and options for the transfer to other small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).
In this inter- and transdisciplinary project, scientists of three universities from the six disciplines occupational medicine, primary care medicine, psychosomatic medicine, operations research, health promotion and epidemiology collaborate in four work packages (WP):
WP1. Analysis of working conditions in SME
WP2. Development of a participatory, setting-specific intervention and feasibility study
WP3. Cluster-randomized, controlled study with primary care practices to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention
WP4. Dissemination in medical offices and evaluation of transfer options to other SME
The subproject at the University of Tübingen is worked on by the Institute of Occupational and Social Medicine and Health Services Research (IASV) and the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy (PM), both at the University Hospital of Tübingen.
The network partners from the University of Tübingen (Institute for Occupational and Social Medicine and Health Services Research (IASV), Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy (PM)) have the following responsibilities:
- IASV:
a) Leadership of research network: methods of health services research, occupational safety (psychological stress and strain), organization of inter- and transdisciplinary research processes, junior scientist development program
b) work packages: responsible for data acquisition and analysis in WP1; co-leader of interdisciplinary development of IMPROVEJob intervention (WP2); support of feasibility and effectiveness study (WP2/3), responsible for development of transfer options to other SME (WP4)
- PM:
development of educational content for the trainings on transformational leadership and communication; participation in the trainings as part of the feasibility and effectiveness study (WP2,WP3), support of development of transfer options to other SME (WP4)
