Acronym:
INF SFB/TR 209
Title:
Central Information management project of the SFB/TR 209
Duration:
01/08/2017 to 31/10/2021
Abstract / short description:
Central to all research consortia is the quality of materials and models used for the research projects, availability of core data sets to all projects, optimisation of correlative data analyses and sustainability of the results. The Central Service Project INF provides three essential functions required for the suc-cess of the SFB/TR: a) Histotechnology and histopathological evaluation of human tissue probes and mouse model systems used in the different subprojects, biobanking, and cell culture activities; b) ex-perimental design, data integration/visualization, and bioinformatics support; and c) data management and database maintenance. The majority of projects within the collaborative research center (75% of all projects in project areas A, B, and C) intend to produce moderate to large amounts of high-throughput data. The availability of appropriate samples and associated metadata, sound experimental design, and the consistent generation of high-quality data is key for the project success. Project INF will thus provide a state-of-the-art infrastructure work closely with researchers from the various pro-jects to plan and conduct the respective experiments, and then support them with tailor-made anal-yses within and across projects.
