ProjectESCAPE – Electronic Sensor System for the Characterisation of Packaging Emissions
Basic data
Acronym:
ESCAPE
Title:
Electronic Sensor System for the Characterisation of Packaging Emissions
Duration:
01/09/2001 to 28/02/2005
Abstract / short description:
Follow up project of PARFUM with extension of the scope to packaging material in more general terms (besides plastic materials also paper and board, metals, etc.)
Role here besides coordination of the entire project, devising a strategy for spatio-temporal separation of desired and undesired substances by an appropriate sample treatment. Setting up together with the partners the complete measurement system including reference analysis methods (GC/MS, GC/FID) and the required data processing tools. Very positive outcome of the project. Dedicated instrument actually in the prototype phase at the industrial partner. Commercialization expected for 2006.
