Abstract / short description:
The project aims to organize an international conference in Tübingen. The focus will be on the monastic reform of Benedictine monasticism in the 11th and 12th centuries, with particular emphasis on the reception of patristic sources for the formulation of reform concerns. In cooperation with the University of Warsaw, the development of monastic centers in the territory of present-day Poland and Germany will be examined as an example.
