Acronym:
MH-152
Title:
Prospective, Open Label, Phase IV, Multicenter Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Feasibility and Value of Dynamic Contrast Enhancement (DCE) Imaging Using 0.1 mmol/kg MULTIHANCE in the Grading of Cerebral Gliomas
Duration:
01/04/2016 to 31/12/2024
Abstract / short description:
The aim of this multicenter study is to show the feasibility and value of MRI, including DCE imaging, at 3.0 T in the characterization of cerebral gliomas (WHO Grade I-IV) using histopathology as the reference standard.
Objectives of the study are to estimate the accuracy of grading of primary cerebral gliomas (WHO Grade I-IV) based on DCE MRI derived parameters using histopathology as the reference standard.
Furthermore it should be examined the comparison of diagnostic accuracy of MRI based grading of cerebral glioma with and without the additional information provided by DCE imaging using histopathologic findings as the reference standard, the comparison of diagnostic accuracy of each DCE MRI derived parameter or their combinations for grading of cerebral glioma, the comparison of diagnostic accuracy of each DCE MRI derived parameter or their combinations for grading of cerebral glioma depending on the post-processing algorithm (Tofts model vs. extended Tofts model), the comparison of diagnostic accuracy of each diffusion kurtosis MRI derived parameter or their combinations for grading of cerebral glioma, the comparison of confidence levels for grading of cerebral gliomas across different techniques.
