- Light sheet microscopy for the examination of metastasized cancer cells in lymph nodes
The aim is to establish a multi-scale microscopy pipeline that combines light sheet microscopy and high-dimensional tissue analysis (CODEX). The focus is on dormant tumor cells in sentinel lymph nodes to identify potential predictive markers for immunotherapies. The study is based on innovative methods for tissue clarification and will run for two years, with the first year dedicated to methodological development and the second to data collection and analysis.
- Visualization of immune cells in cancer therapy for psycho-oncology
Scientific film and image material is being processed to provide patients, psychologists and doctors with visual support in dealing with cancer. The project includes the collection, processing and provision of the visualizations.
