Abstract / short description:
MSCA4Ukraine fellowship. Dmitriy Yanov's project aims to study the status of Ottoman coins in Central and Eastern Europe in the context of economic and military confrontation between the Ottoman Empire and Christian states. It involves processing of unpublished coins from the collections of museums in Hungary and Romania, and creation the digital database of coin finds. The project aims to enhance understanding of the history of currency circulation in European borderlands of the Ottoman Empire.
