Title:
Detection Limits for Electromyography-Based Diagnostics of Spontaneous Muscle Activity
Duration:
01/11/2024 to 01/03/2027
Abstract / short description:
The aim of this research proposal is to advance clinical investigations of neuromuscular disorders and ultimately reduce the need for painful interventions in patients. This will be only feasible by combining in-vivo experiments, computer simulations, and advanced data processing tools. Implementing the proposed research will allow us to systematically derive the detection limits for SA and ultimately answer the question of whether SA can be measured non-invasively. Moreover, the proposed research will improve the current understanding of the pathophysiology of SA.
