Abstract / short description:
The DFG funding will cover part of the costs for a two-day conference at the University of Tübingen organized by Dr. Sofie Schiødt, titled “Observing Nature, Interpreting Signs: Scientific Knowledge Production in the Ancient World.” The conference will take place on Monday Sept. 30th to Tuesday Oct. 1st 2024. It will convene 20 leading experts of scientific practices in the ancient world who will present new insights into the nature, development, and transmission of scientific knowledge.
