Abstract / short description:
From June 2020 to July 2022, the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance funded the EKAMED (Ethics in Disaster Medicine) project, which aimed to develop an ethics guide and an associated training concept for dealing with moral challenges in civil protection. Now that the "Guidelines for ethically reflective decision-making in medical and support services" have been published in 2023 and the first courses on "Ethics in civil protection" based on the project have been carried out, an evaluation of this course is to take place. This will determine how the course is received by emergency services and to what extent there is potential for further development exists.
