ProgRET (European Training Program to Understand, Diagnose and Treat Autosomal Dominant Retinal Diseases) is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network / Joint Doctorate (2024-2027). The objective of ProgRET is to conduct advanced vision research that addresses the knowledge gaps to understanding, diagnosing and treating adIRD, using innovative approaches related to multi-omics, functional genomics, bioinformatics, systems biology, gene regulation, developmental biology, stem cell technology, organoids, aquatic animal disease models, therapy development.
It aims to feed an innovative and ambitious PhD program to train highly qualified young scientists in unique skills for academic or private sector careers. The PhD candidates will obtain PhD diplomas from 7 reputed universities within the ProgRET project.
