Basic data
Acronym:
NAPKON-TIP
Title:
National Pandemic Cohort Network – Therapeutic Intervention Platform
Duration:
01/07/2022 to 30/06/2025
Abstract / short description:
Based on the NAPKON cohort and the infrastructure established in NAPKON, an adaptive intervention platform will be formed in NAPKON-TIP. Adaptive intervention platforms offer the advantage of rapid adaptation of the components of a clinical trial when evidence is rapidly changing, e.g. in the context of a pandemic. An intervention for post-COVID syndrome serves as a use case.
The Institute of General Medicine and Interprofessional Care supports the project with its expertise in recruitment in the primary care or outpatient sector. Patients from this sector are often difficult to access for intervention studies. However, their inclusion is intrinsically important for minimizing potential bias.
