Title:
lucidating the role of microbial metabolites in stabilising and protecting the leaf microbiome
Duration:
01/07/2023 to 30/06/2025
Abstract / short description:
The oomycete pathogen Albugo laibachii plays an important role in structuring the phyllosphere microbiome of Arabidopsis thaliana. Plant-associated microbial communities are known to provide protection against pathogens through the production of specialised metabolites, which protect plants from infection by suppressing the activity of pathogen-derived proteases.
