Title:
The National Pandemic Cohort Network v2.0
Duration:
01/01/2022 to 31/12/2024
Abstract / short description:
The National Pandemic Cohort Network (NAPKON) is establishing a nationwide cohort of patients with COVID-19, on the basis of which scientific questions can be derived and answered. Building on NAPKON 1.0, NAPKON v2.0 consolidates the infrastructure, completes the three cohorts, and explores new insights into the pathophysiology of COVID-19 and post-COVID.
The majority of patients with COVID-19 is treated as outpatients in primary care. The Institute of General Practice and Interprofessional Care highlights specifics of primary care and connects with existing projects such as the DESAM research networks (DESAM-Fornet).
The project is funded as part of the Network University Medicine (NUM) by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
