Abstract / short description:
The European Reference Network for rare neurological diseases (ERN-RND), one of the 24 Europrean Reference Networks, aims to
improve diagnosis, create more equitable access to high-quality treatment and care for patients with rare neurological diseases and
complex conditions needing highly specialised health care services. The establishment of ERN-RND, including now 68 European Health
Care Providers and their neurological specialist departments from 24 EU Member States as full members and, furthermore, involving 2
Associated National Centres and 2 National Coordination Hubs, has been a unique initiative to improve the healthcare management of
patients suffering from rare neurological diseases and complex conditions through European collaboration. The HCPs deliver the expert
care needed for more than 8.500 patients diagnosed with rare neurological diseases each year. In these 18 months project, ERN-RND
will be implementing tasks in the following work packages: • Work Package 1. Coordination • Work Package 2. Dissemination • Work
Package 3. Evaluation • Work Package 4. CPMS activities • Work Package 5. Other digital activities of ERN-RND (ERN-RND registry)
