I am primarily interested in the brain processes underlying perception, action, thinking and language. To this end, I usually employ an experimental, cognitive psychophysiological approach, which combines behavioural measures with the recording of event-related brain potentials (ERPs).  

Currently, my research focuses on

the role of cognitive control in perception-action interaction,

the elementary mechanisms contributing to language comprehension and their modulation by the discourse context, and on

social and affective information processing.
