The sense of reality in perception: An intersubjective approach

There is more to perception than sensory contents: when we perceive the world, we also feel that the things we perceive are real and not, for example, merely imagined. We have a sense of reality. But what makes an experience feel real? In addition, many perceptual experiences are not merely individual, but socially shared. This project aims to provide a rigorous analysis of the sense of reality in perception and examine the role of intersubjectivity in supporting it.
