Accessible imaging : shaping the future of imaging

Biomedical imaging, which is required to develop innovative healthcare solutions for a range of diseases, is not available everywhere and for everyone, due to geographical and socio-economic inequalities and technological constraints that limit its accessibility. Supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, the IMACS project aims to improve biological and medical imaging in underserved communities by training a new generation of experts to develop more accessible imaging technologies. Specifically, it will train researchers across an extensive network of Marseille Imaging Institute (141 academic, clinical and industrial partners) and then integrate research into the biomedical sector. Ultimately, the project seeks to foster innovation in hardware and digital tools, ensuring equitable healthcare access while strengthening Europe's competitiveness in the global health market.
