This project aims to advance the long-term research objectives of the Molecular Biology of Retinal Degenerations research group at the Institute of Ophthalmic Research through coordinated scientific management, dissemination of research outcomes, and strategic acquisition of new funding. In close collaboration with Prof. Ueffing, the project manager will focus on translating the productivity of research projects in the field of age-related macular degeneration, retinal degeneration and innovative techniques for research and diagnostics into peer-reviewed publications while simultaneously developing competitive grant proposals to ensure continuity of the research activities. Key responsibilities include the scientific coordination of multiple projects, supporting grant preparation and ethics approvals and oversee submission processes. In addition, the role involves supporting manuscript preparation to enhance the visibility and impact of research findings within the scientific community and science communication to make findings accessible to a broader public audience.
