Title:
Stability of Local Expectation in the Thermal Limit
Duration:
01/01/2026 to 31/12/2026
Abstract / short description:
This proposal aims to establish an international collaboration through a three‑month research stay at DAMTP Cambridge, involving joint research projects, seminars, and interdisciplinary activities. At its core, the project focuses on the stability of rapid mixing - a property that enables systems to converge exponentially fast in time while scaling only polynomially with system size, and which is essential for fault‑tolerant quantum computing. The objectives are to derive explicit bounds for long‑time perturbations in long‑range systems and to investigate the stability of expectation values in Gibbs‑like states. By addressing these challenges, the initiative seeks both to advance fundamental questions in quantum mechanics and to foster sustainable, interdisciplinary collaboration.
