Basic data
Acronym:
KuNaH-T
Title:
Real-life experiments in transformative learning and research processes for a culture of sustainability at universities – transfer phase. Sub-project: Transfer and consortium management
Duration:
01/01/2026 to 31/12/2027
Abstract / short description:
In its transfer phase, the project KuNaH aims to disseminate the concept of culture(s) of sustainability (KdN/CoS)
developed in the first funding phase and tested in real-life experiments at universities in a scientifically
sound, sustainable and transfer-oriented manner. KdN/CoS does not only consist of visible specific measures,
but is deeply rooted in routines and shared assumptions. Building on this, five modules are being
developed to support the universities of the project consortium and ten other universities in implementing
KdN and to reach the German-speaking university landscape as a whole: (1) training of KdN attachés, (2) a
self-evaluation tool, (3) a toolbox, (4) guidelines for informal transformation processes, (5) and measures for
local consolidation and nationwide knowledge mobilisation for KdN. The aim is to anchor KdN in higher
education structures in the long term and make it effective through participatory networks and
communication.
University of Tübingen leads transfer module 5 with the consolidation of KdN at each partner university
(here UT as a networking point) and the mobilization of knowledge in university policy networks. On the one
hand, UT is continuing the transformation activities from its real-world experiments (TM 5a) with further
networking formats on the topic of wellbeing, additional events for the systematic anchoring of KdN in
teaching and the integration of KdN as an overarching perspective in UT's sustainability strategy. For the
transfer at the level of nationwide university-related discourse (TM 5b), it synthesizes the scientific findings
from KuNaH for the dissemination of results. It promotes discourse on KdN and supports the transformation
work through events, communication offers, networking, etc. with stakeholders in the higher education
landscape. In WP 6, the UT takes over consortium lead and coordination of the network in collegial
coordination with all network partners.
