Integration tätigkeitsspezifischer Belastungswechsel zur Verringerung der physischen Beanspruchung bei Taktarbeit

Abstract / short description:
Employees in the production sector often (approx. 45%) have to work in aproduction line with repetitive manual task. There is a constant trend towards shorter cycle times, so that a cycle time of about one minute has become the norm in many manufacturing companies. Furthermore, repetitive work is considered a significant risk factor for the development of musculoskeletal disorders or repetitive strain injuries. The cause of this risk factor are frequent repetitions of uniform movements, which lead to high stresses and strains on muscles, tendons and nerves and often cause incapacity to work for long periods. Resulting occupational diseases are, for example, BK2101 Diseases of tendon sheaths or tendon gliding tissue and tendon or muscle insertions or BK2113 Carpal tunnel syndrome.
For the targeted prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) or repetitive strain injuries, innovative concepts and methods are needed to ensure both economic and health-oriented production line work. Therefore, the proposed research project will conduct an exploratory investigation to determine whether the integration of specific load changes (muscles that are loaded in one activity segment are specifically relieved or loaded differently in the next activity segment) into cycle work contributes to a reduction in physical stress and thus has the potential to prevent occupational diseases.
